The NASA STEM Educator Professional Development Collaborative (EPDC) at Texas State University is presenting a series of free webinars open to all educators. Join NASA education specialists to learn about activities, lesson plans, educator guides and resources that bring NASA into your classroom. Registration is required to participate. August 31, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. ET: Exploring Beyond the Planets: Meteorite Mysteries (Grades K-12) -- Meteoroids are pieces of interplanetary material hurtling through space. When they enter Earth’s atmosphere, they become meteors for the few seconds they streak across the sky. The heat from friction makes them glow. Parts that reach the ground are called meteorites.
